Site Newsletter

Sorry for the weird format of the newsletter. I'm trying to get it working, but it continues to send the newsletter with all those strange HTML tags, although the whole HTML thing is supposed to be turned off. I'll try to get it fixed as soon as possible.

חמרמורת

Funny... I probably never came over this word before because I've rarely (maybe never?) got in the situation when it's being used. Anyway, ladies and gentlemen, meet the Hebrew word for hangover: חֲמַרְמוֹרֶת.

There are two interesting things associated with this word:

פרוור, פרבר, аnd periphery

By pure accident, I've seen this spelling in Google: פרוור (full vocalization: פּרַוָר.) I think, I've never seen it beforehand, or maybe it just never drew my attention. Somehow I used to read it "parvar" with the V-sound, but the only spelling I've ever seen was פרבר. I looked at Wikipedia then, and discovered couple of interesting things.

Shana Tova to all my readers!

Let everybody have a sweet and successful year!
A funny cartoon from Youtube; as Hebrew students, you should appreciate it:
